[edit] Main Page DYK

Updated DYK query On 3 April 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Three stars (ice hockey), which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

When you removed the lyrics from this article, you also removed the references section and the categories. Please take more care in your editing.-Mr Adequate (talk) 02:19, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] (footballer) not (football)

I refer to a page move you made to Scott Thornton (footballer) a few weeks ago. Unlike Ice Hockey, for soccer and Australian rules footballers, the preferred term is (footballer), not (football). NFL players tend to be labeled (football player). This is not based on any published convention, but on the >300 existing pages of Australian rules footballers with (footballer) compared to the ten or so with ((football). The examples on the WP:NCP page seem to back this approach using Cyclist, musician, politician and actor rather than cycling, music, politics & films. I am going to revert it back to stay with our common use convention. The-Pope (talk) 02:06, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vancouver Canucks task force

Hey! I noticed you spend a bit of your time on Wikipedia editing Vancouver Canucks related articels. I have been thinking about starting a Vancouver Canucks task force under WikiProject Ice Hockey for some time now, and am now going into the stage of gathering interest, seeing if anyone would actually be interested in joining. I've made a temporary page for the task force at User:Nurmsook/Vancouver Canucks task force. Basically, I just need to get enough members before I actually launch the task force. I still have to create some templates and alter a few that already exist once I get enough members, so hopefully you will be interested! If you would like to help out, please add your name to the list at User:Nurmsook/Vancouver Canucks task force#Participants. Thanks! – Nurmsook! (talk) 00:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

I have gone ahead and launched the task force. It can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Vancouver Canucks task force. If you'd like to add a userbox to your userpage, feel free to add {{User WikiProject Ice Hockey/Vancouver Canucks}}. Basically, for the first little while here, I'll be tagging all applicable pages with the task force option on the talk page. From then on, it'll just be general improvement of the Canucks related articles. Feel free to take any route you please with this task force. Hopefully we can make some great improvements to these articles! – Nurmsook! (talk) 22:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
