[edit] Need help with Doublereed template

Hi, can you help fix this template? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Doublereed It doesn't have a box around it, but there's a light gray box just around the top two lines. That looks weird but I couldn't find anyone who could figure out how to fix this. Badagnani 20:27, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Hopefully its fixed now! There was a bit of redundant code in there that was causing issues. Let me know if there's any more problems. scharks 13:33, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bot Archiving on Wine Project talk page

Hey Scharks, per the conversation at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wine#Bot_Archiving.3F, I was wondering if you would be willing to set up the bot archiving for the page? After looking at User:MiszaBot/Archive HowTo I understand just enough to know that I don't understand much at all. :p AgneCheese/Wine 21:39, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I've put the code on the talk page for this to happen. Hopefully it works as intended. scharks 14:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Food and Drink

Hi there, I obviously noticed the vast improvement you made in the style to the Wikiproject Wine page. I am interested in doing something similar to the Food and Drink project page and was wondering if you could point me in a direction of how you went about doing this layout. I'm still pretty new to wikipedia and haven't figured out everything yet obviously. There are quite a few inactive pages for the Food and Drink project that would be the equivalent to the boxes used in the Wine Projects. How does one create those? Hopefully you have time to help me out, if not I understand. --Christopher Tanner, CCC 17:46, 21 April 2007 (UTC)tanner-christopher

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Sevendust.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sevendust.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:30, 22 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -Panser Born- (talk) 11:30, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] TfD nomination of Template:Supplement

Template:Supplement has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you.

This also affects {{for more}}. — Kevinkor2 07:00, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FYI

Hi Scharks,

There is a debate that involves infobox design and standardization to replace manually constructed infoboxs. You may have missed this post from 52 pickup at WikiProject Infobox but it bears repeating and as a member of the project, your input would be appreciated.

Instead of repeating all the points, I'll just direct you to the discussion here. In the interests of consistency, and taking on a few new ideas for infobox design, I would like as many people as possible to get involved.—MJCdetroit 00:58, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Yalumba.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Yalumba.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 01:58, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Transwiki of Organoleptic

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Organoleptic, by Eliz81 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Organoleptic is an article that has been discussed at Articles for Deletion (or Miscellany for deletion), where the outcome was to transwiki, and where the transwikification has been properly performed and the author information recorded (CSD A5).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Organoleptic, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:41, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Apologies to everyone for this notification being sent out so late, events in real life prevented me from distributing it at the time, and the Wine Project's had a bit of a lull during the Northern Hemsiphere summer. But as the nights draw in, activity should pick up again, and hopefully the next Newsletter will arrive a little more quickly....

[edit] Wine Project activity

This is a friendly note to let you know that you have been moved to the Inactive members page of the Wine Project. Users are moved to this page when two months have passed without any Wikipedia activity or 3 months have passed without any contribution to a wine related article. The intent of the Participant list is to function as a resource for other editors wishing to get in contact with wine project members for comments or question on Wikipedia's wine article. The goal of this process is to try and maintain the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wine/Participants as current and up to date as possible with active and contributing members. Please note that this is not intended to be a negative reflection on your Wikipedia or wine related contribution and it is well known that sometimes outside life can take editors away from Wikipedia for some time. You will always be welcomed to rejoined the Wine Project should you feel that the time is right. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk or on the Wine Project talk page. Best wishes. AgneCheese/Wine 00:30, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Glossary of wine terms

Glossary of wine terms, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Glossary of wine terms satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glossary of wine terms and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Glossary of wine terms during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:AdelaideCC.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:AdelaideCC.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:51, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] List of vineyards and wineries

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article List of vineyards and wineries, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
