A freshman at Simon's Rock College in Great Barrington MA, I'm originally from the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. While my interests are varied, I concentrate mostly in philosophy, politics, cycling and photography.

[edit] Bio
I was a student at Nantucket High School until I dropped out in late 2007, choosing to continue my education at Simon's Rock. Outside of my rather miserable high school education, I've attended, organized and promoted academic enrichment programs through MIT's Educational Studies Program(ESP). I am an Alum of the Johns Hopkins CTY program, having taken International Politics and Fast Paced High School Chemistry at the Carlisle, PA Campus in sessions one and two of 2005, Philosophy of Mind and Crafting the Essay in 2006(once again at Dickinson), and Issues in Contemporary Chinese Development and Modernization at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center at Nanjing University in Jiangsu province, China.
I'm an avid photographer, and my semi-defunct Flickr account can be seen at keptdownbytheman.com and my entirely defunct deviant art can be seen here, though I'll be producing a current gallery of my work at my website in the near future.
Otherwise, below you'll find a few photos I took on a trip to Kenya and Tanzania about two years back, though they are not particularly representative of my current work.

[edit] Other Stuff Nobody Cares About
Politically I associate most closely with social libertarianism and economic socialism. Philosophically I'm probably best described as a functionalist with leanings towards materialistic epiphenomenalism. Religiously I identify as a functional atheist, though I suppose strictly I'm an agnostic. According to the MBTI I'm an INTP, a profile which fits me exceedingly well, and pretty much act exactly as one would assume an INTP would act from the type descriptions.
