Scholarly Pursuits is a hip-hop duo from Madison, Wisconsin formed in July of 2007. The music is positive and intelligent hip-hop which is free of negative, monotonous commercial material. The two emcee/producer members Rembrandt and Bourne forged an alliance with Global Awareness Entertainment in the fall of 2007 and began recording their first studio album. The first album The Schmagilla Incident is set to release in April of 2008 with 2 new mixtape releases: The Campaign and Rembrandt's Art Gallery following shortly thereafter.
