[edit] Season?

Any particular reason the park(s) are only open from June through mid-September when it's in deep south Texas? —Rob (talk) 15:59, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Although the winter temperatures in Texas may seem warmer than what your use to, it still feels too cold for us Texans to go to a waterpark (We're used to warmer temperatures). Tennis Dynamite 21:57, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

a) new braunfels is nowhere near deep south texas. its more like south central texas. b) would you want to go swimming when it is 50 degrees outside? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.189.246.113 (talk) 23:33, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Even in South Texas it gets cold in the winter, would you like to swim in that? I lived in Victoria and Goliad and it's very cold to swim during the winter months. Mac428

You also have to keep in mind the staff required at the park. Most of the lifeguards/cashiers are in various stages of education and are available more in the summer time. This is true for most, if not all waterparks. Texas temperature seems to be a poor excuse as March/April weather can sometimes be in the mid-80s. camknows

[edit] This article looks too much like an advertisement... it also lacks references...

I like Schlitterbahn. I am not one of those New Braunfelsers that hate Schlitterbahn. However, as editiors, we need to cast some critical eyes at this article. It reads more like an advertisement created by Schlitterbahn than an objective encyclopedia article.

Off the top of my head I can think of a few things that we might add:

economic impact, enviormental information, criticism of Schlitterbahn, references, references, references —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kerstan (talkcontribs) 16:15, 10 March 2007 (UTC).

I concur. But I don't really know enough about Schlitterbahn to make the changes myself (I live in Austin, but I've been there a few times.) Though I do think that what we currently have is better than removing it entirely. dougmc 15:29, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Separate Pages?

At some point during the organization and cleaning of this page we must consider breaking the individual Schlitterbahn parks into their own main articles. That would allow for much greater detail. If there are no objections, I'll make it a future project of mine. Ckranger11 17:23, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
