[edit] Cleanup

This page was marked for cleanup per MoS:DAB. As suggested, I split off List of people named Schlesinger and Schechter Schleh. I moved all the other people with similar sounding names (who just had short lists) to List_of_people_by_name. I moved all categories and name links (from the "See also" section") to List of people named Schlesinger, where it's more appropriate. – sgeureka tc 23:24, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copied from Schlesinger (surname):

[edit] Cleanup

Just for transparancy: This page was marked for cleanup per MoS:DAB. As suggested, I split off the List of people named Schlesinger and Schleh section. On the other hand, I deleted the following sections:
== Schlessinger ==
{{surname|Schlessinger}}

== Slesinger ==
{{surname|[[Slesinger]]}}

I also moved the following links to the "See also" section of List of people named Schlesinger, where it made more sense:

More cleanup for red-links:

  • Emma Schlesinger, composer and first wife of fellow composer Zoltán Kodály
  • Ezekiel Schlesinger (Ezekiel ben Samuel ha-Levi)
  • Hermann Schlesinger, German physician
  • Issachar Bär Schlesinger, Hebrew poet
  • Josef Schlesinger, Czech-Austrian mathematician
  • Karl Schlesinger, Hungarian-Austrian economist
  • Kathleen Schlesinger (1862-1953), Irish-UK musicologist
  • Klaus Schlesinger (1937-2001), German writer, see also German article
  • Ludwig Schlesinger (1864-1933), Hungarian-German mathematician, see also German article
  • Sigmund Schlesinger, Austrian writer
  • Wilhelm S. Schlesinger, Hungarian-Austrian physician

[edit] disamb

This page should be a disamb and the previous deleted entries restored. -Eep² 08:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

1. about moving them back to Schlesinger - may be done or not; Schlesinger is a short-ish dab page, but I'd consider the surname list to be long
2. about restoring - not per Special:Whatlinkshere and WP:SU
3. I removed the links to de:wikipedia (but not the people): these articles should be written in en:wikipedia, and not providing redlinks discourages that

After giving this some thought, I found a way that I'm comfortable with: I merged the surnames back to Schlesinger and turned the former disambiguation page into a surname page because the only real dab'able entry is Schlesinger (crater) (which may be needed to be moved to the top as a hatnote when this page wants to remain a strict surname page). I've left an invisible comment at the bottom of Schlesinger in case someone wants to change the category tag to {{disambig}}. – sgeureka tc 14:22, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
