Schwester Selma

Schwester ("sister" or "nurse") Selma (1884-1984), an Israeli nurse, served the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem as head nurse for 48 years, beginning in 1914. The hospital's sole trained nurse, she had trained in Hamburg's Heinrich Heine Hospital. She established the School of Nursing there in 1934.
Time Magazine referred to her as "...something of an angel..." [1].
