Schunk Group

The Schunk Group is a German manufacturing conglomerate composed of 75 subsidiary companies in 28 countries[1]. It produces carbon brushes, graphite products, and moulded bipolar plates. Schunk is based in Heuchelheim, Germany, but employees 7,352 people worldwide. In 2006, Schunk Group's consolidated worldwide turnover was 752.9 million Euros[2], up from 643.5 million in 2004.

The Schunk Group was founded in 1913 in Fulda, Germany by Ludwig Schunk, together with technician Karl Ebe, as carbon brush factory Schunk & Ebe OHG.
