The Schroeder YMCA Swim Team is a high-level, competitive swim team based in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. The team practices in what is now the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center, along with the Schroeder YMCA Dive Team. Schroeder, as it is more commonly referred to, has had numerous national level swimmers and has won many Wisconsin state swimming championships. Currently, 42 Wisconsin state swimming records are held by Schroeder relays or individual team members. Famous Schroeder swimmers and alumni include: 2004 Polish Olympian, Adam Mania and Garret Weber-Gale.
[edit] Coaches
The team's success, as they are a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club, is due largely to the coaching staff, which includes co-head coaches Dave Anderson and Matt Miller, as well as assistant coach Adam Mania and many others.
Coach Anderson has been coaching for Schroeder for over thirteen years. Coach Miller has been with the team for at least eight years. Coach Mania is new to the team, and came in 2006.
