Since 1992, the Nanyang Polytechnic School of Health Sciences (NYP SHS) is an establishment which develops skills for careers in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diagnostic radiography and Radiation therapy in Singapore. A new Diploma in Dental Therapy was offered for "O" level leavers from July 2003. The School prepares healthcare professionals to address disease prevention and management, research and development of care procedures, and ways to promote and maintain health and well-being. These healthcare professionals work in hospitals, clinics, school dental clinics, dental centres, dental laboratories, rehabilitation centres, community health agencies and other health related settings.
