Schnals (Senales) (Italian: Senales; German: Schnals; Archaic (1273 AD): Snales, Snals, Snalls, Snalse, Snalles; Latin: Cascina) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km north of the city of Trento and about 40 km northwest of the city of Bolzano (de. Bozen), on the border with Austria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,406 and an area of 211.2 km².[1]

The municipality of Schnals (Senales) contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Certosa, Monte Santa Caterina, Madonna, and Vernago al lago.

Schnals (Senales) borders the following municipalities: Kastelbell-Tschars (Castelbello-Ciardes), Latsch (Laces), Mals (Malles Venosta), Moos in Passeier (Moso in Passiria), Naturns (Naturno), Partschins (Parcines), Schlanders (Silandro), and Sölden (Austria).
