Schizoglossa worthyae, is a species of large predatory, air-breathing, land slug, a carnivorous terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Rhytididae, which also contains the genera Powelliphanta and Rhytida.
Like others in this genus, the slug has a shell which is quite small compared to its body size.

This slug is endemic to the northern half of the North Island of New Zealand.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is broadly oval, and a dark olive-brown colour with distinct sculpture of irregular radial grooves.
The shell length is up to 22 mm, the width up to 15 mm, and a thickness of 5 mm.

Schizoglossa worthyae is classified by the New Zealand Department of Conservation as being in Serious Decline.
