Scherpenzeel is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands.

Scherpenzeel Housevan Clijntjev(Huis Scherpenzeel in Dutch; located at 3 Burgemeester Royaardslaan) began as a 14th century tower house. In the following centuries, it underwent several extensions. In the years 1857–1858, it got its present Neogothic form, designed by S.A. van Lunteren, who also designed the surrounding park. The building is was used as town hall[1] until 2003. Currently there is only the possibility of holding a marriage-ceremony.
