Schelluinen

Schelluinen (51°51′N, 4°56′E) is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Giessenlanden, and lies about 4 km west of Gorinchem.

In 2001, the village of Schelluinen had 908 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.23 km², and contained 342 residences.[1] The statistical area "Schelluinen", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1240.[2]

Schelluinen was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1986, when it became part of Giessenlanden.[3]
