Schardam

The statistical district of Schardam in the municipality of Zeevang.

Schardam (West Frisian: Skerdam) (52°36′N, 5°1′E) is a small village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Zeevang, and lies about 6 km southwest of Hoorn.

Schardam was a separate municipality from 1817 to 1854, when it was merged with Beets.[1]

The statistical district "Schardam", which covers the village and the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 110.[2]
