I am not sure whether this image is "fair use" or public domain. It was taken from the subject's ICJ biography, a page that can not longer be found. It is an official portrait of a U.N. official by a U.N. agency, so chances are it is just plain old public domain, but I really don't know enough about this issue to say for certain. --Woland 14:57, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Furthermore, this is not a celeberty or a highly photographed subject, this is a retired judge that probably does not have publicity photographs to hand out. It is not reasonalbe to expect to find any images of this subject other than the official portrait, so even if it is not "public domain" it is most certainly "fair use." --Woland 15:05, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that, since the subject is alive, it is possible to photograph him and release the photo under a free license. Therefore the photo is "replaceable", and is not allowed under our non-free content policy. – Quadell (talk) (random) 18:03, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
