The West German destroyer FGS SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN (D-182) refuels from the battleship USS IOWA (BB-61) during NATO Exercise Northern Wedding '86.
Deutsch: Die USS Iowa (BB-61) war das Typschiff der vier fertiggestellten US-amerikanischen Schlachtschiffe der Iowa-Klasse, das am 27. Juni 1940 im New York Navy Yard auf Kiel gelegt wurde und nach einer Bauzeit von 26 Monaten am 27. August 1942 ihren Stapellauf hatte.
English: USS Iowa (BB-61), the lead ship of her class of battleship, was the fourth ship of the United States Navy, but second to be commissioned, to be named in honor of the 29th state of the USA.
