Description
Deutsch: Die Schlacht bei Frastanz während des Schwabenkrieges, am 20. April 1499. Die Darstellung zeigt im Hintergrund die Stadt Feldkirch mit der Schattenburg, im Vordergrund das Lager des Schwäbischen Bundes, das mit der hölzernen Letzi geschützt ist und so das Illtal sperrt. In der Mitte links ziehen die Eidgenossen heran, rechts die Bündner unter der Fahne des Gotteshausbundes. Im Vordergrund links ist der gefallene Urner Hauptmann Heini Wolleb an der roten Schärpe und seinen gelb-schwarzen Hosen zu erkennen.
English: The Battle of Frastanz, 20. April 1499 near Feldkirch. The town and casle Schattenburg are depicted in the background. In front the battle between Swiss, Grisons and the Swabian Ligue is ongoing, the Grisons coming out of the forest on the right, the rest of the Swiss advancing from the left. In the foreground the camp of the Swabian Ligue, protected by a wooden palisade has just been attacked by Heini Wollebs troup. He is dead already, recognisable by the yellow and black trousers, lying on the left side of the foreground
