- Guidelines for my talk page:
If I haven't edited in twenty-four hours, please consult a user on my "helpful people" list.
- Remember to create a new section for each new topic (you can do this by pressing the '+' link or the "edit" next to "Sceptre's talk page"), and remember to sign your posts with ~~~~.
- If you think I've made a mistake in reverting, revert it back and feel free to remove the warning. Please refrain from posting here - doing so creates clutter and means I have to archive my talk page faster than I should.
- Due to a long-standing conflict I entered myself in two years ago, I will not mediate disputes on my page. I will give advice, but it is nonbinding.
- I should respond within 24 hours, if I feel there is a need to respond, and unless you have an openly stated policy on conversation, or request for me to reply here, I will reply on your page.
- Any questions about the bot should mention the word "bot" in the level header, and any requests for the bot should go to bot request subpage.
- Any messages should be in English, and as clear and as legible as possible. As long as I know what you're saying to me, it's okay.
- If you have a request for me, please be aware that, unless dictated by policy or behavioural guideline, a member of the Arbitration Committee or Wikimedia Foundation (either paid employee or advisory board), or Jimbo Wales, I am not bound by your request, but will take it into consideration.
- Please remain civil at all times, and please, under any circumstances, do not refer to me as a Nazi - I'm much more liberal than that.
- Please do not put substituted warnings on my talk page - I've been a member of Wikipedia for nearly three years and I was an admin for seven months, so you think of a warning, I've blocked for it, so I do know most of our policies. An exception to this is image warnings, as they serve to be informative too.
- The page will be archived after 40 headings.
- I reserve the right to remove any threads or revert any edits that I perceive to be in bad faith.
- Violations of these guidelines may result in your post being removed or ignored.
I need help desperately
My name is user straightinfo, and right now, I am so frustrated I can hardly write. I got onto wiki recently, and since then, I have had a user, Bkwillwm, reverting my contribution the same way so consistantly, and finally, having a brand new admin named Heah block me for supposedly violating the 3RR rule. Check the record, I edited that page only twice! I need help and advocacy from another Admin to straighten this out, please, please help. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.199.22.98 (talk • contribs).
- The above user did indeed violate 3rr, in addition to vandalizing my user and talk pages 3 times while evading a block with a dynamic ip; he is, of course, still evading this block. Please see the discussion here, Straightinfo's talk page, and Category:Wikipedia:Suspected sockpuppets of Straightinfo for some background. cheers --He:ah? 03:25, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Archived so quickly!
Sceptre, not to be a pest, but you archived your talk page almost immediately after I posted a new message to it. Please check your latest archive if you did not get to read my message before the archive was made. Thanks, — BrianSmithson 17:20, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have an email registered on Wikipedia, it was taken off for privacy issues (see note on Admin's noticeboard). I've just checked my emails, I forgot to enable it. Sorry! Sceptre (Talk) 17:23, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Question
Hi Sceptre, thanks for putting on the permanent block message on a user's talk page. Can you tell me what the template name for that is?--Adam (talk) 17:30, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Many thanks for your support on my recent RfA. It was successful. Thanks again, Mark83 09:00, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Protection of Carthage
Pardon me, I do agree that the page Carthage needs to be protected. However I would urge you to read the talk page, and the RFC proceedings. You managed to protect the page right after the anonymous editor reverted the page, deleting sections without citing valid reasons, and adding sections for which they provide no citation. This is why it was taken to RFC in the first place. - Vedexent 14:16, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- As an addemdum, this issue was being discussed with admin User:Kirill Lokshin as well - I don't know if it would be helpful for you to contact him. - Vedexent 14:29, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
hmm - after User:Kirill Lokshin pointed out m:Wrong version, I withdraw my comments - sorry to have bothered you :) I've tried to get a vote/consensus started on the talk page - Vedexent 16:20, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Computer games
Your behavior in deleting List of deaths by computer or video game was disapointing. You let your own prejudices cloud your judgement, as did many. I expected better. Yours, For great justice. 16:17, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
I got disconnected
I am sorry, I couldnt connect to the freenode.org server after that. I had asked you a question, and then got preoccupied with something, so much so that, I forgot what my question was! Would you please care to enlighten me? Regards, --Andy123(talk) 18:09, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
[18:41] <Andy123> Would "Critics say that" be included as a weasel word as per WP:AWW when I am citing appropriate sources for it?

0waldo
I am a friend of 0waldo. He wanted me to come here to your page and tell you that you should have not blocked him (you probably already realize this but have too much false pride to admit you were wrong in blocking him as I read his discussion page) and to please unblock him. Thanks, Andy. P.S. Why would you block him for a week anhow? Care to elaborate? Andy.
- Accusing an admin of having false pride is really going to help you in your argument. Please do not resort to personal attacks (WP:NPA). Thank you. I know you can speak for yourself, Sceptre, but I beat you to it — nathanrdotcom (T • C • W) 06:13, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Happy Easter
Please put all tasty Easter wishes here!
VandalProof 1.1 is Now Available For Download
Happy Easter to all of you, and I hope that this version may fix your current problems and perhaps provide you with a few useful new tools. You can download version 1.1 at User:AmiDaniel/VandalProof. Let me warn you, however, to please be extremely careful when using the new Rollback All Contributions feature, as, aside from the excessive server lag it would cause if everyone began using it at once, it could seriously aggitate several editors to have their contributions reverted. If you would like to experiment with it, though, I'd be more than happy to use my many sockpuppets to create some "vandalism" for you to revert. If you have any problems downloading, installing, or otherwise, please tell me about them at User:AmiDaniel/VP/Bugs and I will do my best to help you. Thanks. Range unblock
Hi, you recently blocked the range 84.64.0.0/18. This blocked me somehow, but since I presume I wasn't your target I took the liberty of unblocking it. Cheers, HenryFlower 19:55, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Please don't take this the wrong way, but your {{User bastard}} has been deleted. As an admin, I hope you understand. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and that kind of stuff just really doesn't help with our mission. Thank you. --Cyde Weys 01:25, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Semi-protection procedure
In this edit you said you were protecting Progressive Independent. I assume you applied semi-protection. If so, I think the page should conform to this passage from Wikipedia:Semi-protection policy: "Articles that are semi-protected are indicated with {{sprotected}} and listed at Wikipedia:Protected page#Semi-protection and Category:Semi-protected." It doesn't have the notice that the template would install, which has caused some confusion, as evidenced on the talk page.
I'm not all that familiar with semi-protection, so instead of being bold, I'm dumping the issue in your lap for cleanup. :) JamesMLane t c 04:20, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

continue to vandalize certain user pages/user talk pages (mine, User:Estavisti, User:Litany, User:HolyRomanEmperor, User:Bormalagurski, User:Asterion, User:The Minister of War, User:Academic Challenger, User:Misza13), and we are constantly reverting them. If this were to keep this up, what would be standard policy: Blocking each IP address every time he uses it to vandalise or semi-protect the user pages he always vandalises? I would also assume, if he did it long enough, a ban would be created.
Thanks.

Assyrian blog duplicates
You recently deleted Assyrian blog -- the author has copied and pasted its contents into three articles:
- Mar bawai
- Mar Bawai Soro
- Ashur Soro
I have prodded these, but I assume since you just deleted an identical page that it would speed things up to notify you directly.
I've also commented on his talk page about this issue.

Re: Trading Spaces
Sceptre,
Sorry for responding so late; I was out of town the entire day today.
What works (keep please):
- green color scheme on front page only
- column of userboxes
- to do list on the front page
What doesn't work:
- userbox page needs structural definition :)
- to-do list is strange looking (maybe turn it into a remote control)
- too many lists on the "text" part of the main page and not enough bio (I'll do the bio)
Let me know what you think.
Thanks a bunch,
(^'-')^ Covington 02:40, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- I must say, nice work so far. I removed the wikibreak notice (I'm no longer on wikibreak ... for now.) and added a barnstar I added recently.
- Nice work with matching the colors. And I am loving the show/hide script.
Would you mind showing the userboxes on the front page (they are the more important ones) but hide the ones on the userbox page (the more novelty ones)?I fixed the userbox dilemma on my userpage; I had the more important ones outside of the box, and the rest in the list. I will do the same to the userbox page. Thanks.- I'm sorry if I didn't making this clear. I'd like the subpaged linked on top of my page; the words are there but they aren't linked. Is there a way I can make the links green like the text?
Oops
I think we just crossed beams there fixing "marie byles". I can't find the article anymore, but that may be a caching issue. Could you fix it? If not, I'll check later. Thanks. --W(t) 06:19, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

ROFL. All right. Curiosity satiated.
Dear Will
I just wanted to let you know that I feel that you are too young at 15 to be an administrator. Even under the best of circumstances someone so young is simply too immature to be an administrator, and I thought the first time I learned you are only 15 (before today, although I did not bother to write in), no matter how bright you are. It reflects poorly on Wikipedia to have granted an adminship to a 15 year old, roughly the equivalent of giving Ryan Seacrest a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which also, sadly, happened.
However it is not only your age which mitigates against your adminship but your lack of integrity and fairness. You "blocked" me for a month following a revert war with Demiurge, but he also went far beoynd 3rr and you did not "block" him, which shows why you are unqualified to be an administrator despite your tough ("I favor the one-revert rule") talk.
Btw, don't waste your time trying to block me. I can't be blocked for long, and I won't be censored. In the meantime I continue the battle against revisionists, apologists and censors (like Demiurge, and sadly others).
63.164.145.85 21:42, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Dear User:Rms125a@hotmail.com's sockpuppet: Kindly stop being ageist (that's not a personal attack). It has nothing to do with age, it has everything to do with maturity. I can name several admins who are around the same age off the top of my head who, if I didn't know better, I'd swear they were 20-something (by the way they act).
- If you're going to attack people, don't attack on their age. Different people mature at different speeds, and it can be completely realistic to assume that there can be mature 14-15-16-17year olds, yet immature 20something year olds (I happen to know both types). It's just really low to attack someone based on their age. If you want to make comments on their maturity level, that's fine but age? Seriously, who cares how old people are? (Before you attack me because I commented, don't bother. Everything possible has been said already.) — nathanrdotcom (T • C • W) 04:30, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
WP:MOS-T
I'm not sure if youve changed any other lists but on List of South Park episodes you changed all the episode names to italics and quoted WP:MOS-T when in fact WP:MOS-T says episodes of a television series should be in quotation marks. Discordance 06:22, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- I did it for Lost episodes as well (Doctor Who episodes are Italicated, and last two minutes longer than Lost episodes). Thanks for pointing it out!. Will (E@) T 09:24, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Arb Com
Authoring another is cool. Im not sure what to say though, im getting kinda tired of all of this. I came to improve articles, not become a Lawyer.
Besides that, the last Arb Com i was put in, they completely ignored most of my evidence, and when i asked for an explanation they just ignored me, so ive lost all my faith in them completely.
And on top of that, where do i start with listing the things he has done? Ley Shade 00:16, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- You might wish to know that Deathrocker is using his comment place on the Arbcom to make personal attacks against you and myself, and has demanded that my evidence be stricken on the basis 'i dont belong in the case' and 'that im just creating lies', even though all claims have supplied diffs.
- Hes also demanded that the Arbcom strips you of admin powers because apparantly, you opened the arbcom case because your a 'friend' of mine. You might want to go and make clear that personal attacks of any form are not allowed in any form, and that it being an arbcom statement is not an excuse to make personal attacks.
