Hi. My name is Robert. I've been a member of Wikipedia since March 2006. I'm a C/CMSgt in the Civil Air Patrol, and a member since October 2005. I am ground team member, level 3 (GTM-3) rated. This means that I am able to participate in Ground Search and Rescue and disaster relief missions for the Civil Air Patrol.

Adminship

I participate in a lot of RFAs. I have recently decided that my only criterion that people need to meet for adminship is confidence that a user would not abuse the tools or misuse them, whether by accident or intent. I will not oppose a user on the basis of self-nomination, or the "no need for the tools" argument. I do expect that a user has experience in administrator related areas (AIV, RFPP, XfD, etc.) only if the candidate expresses an interest in working in those areas as an administrator. The bottom line: if I see insufficient or no reason to oppose a candidate, I default to support.
