Father Tom was indeed awarded the Purple Heart, not for valor but for being wounded in service to his country. I've seen the commendation and the actual medal - they're kept in the trophy cases on the main hallway which students traverse every day. KC9CQJ 18:56, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
