The Scelbi-8H hobby computer was a kit with 1K of memory and sold for $500 The Scelbi-8B business computer was assembled with 4K of memory and sold for $850. The principal designer, Nat Wadsworth, developed serious health problems and while in the hospital he started writing a book, Machine Language Programming for the 8008. The book was more profitable than the computers so the company discontinued the hardware products.

This Scelbi-8H computer was displayed by Jack Rubin at the Vintage Computer Festival 7. This was held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, November 2004.
