[edit] Questioning Grammar/Spelling in article

Hi, I am just noting here (because I do not want to make an edit with no background on this topic) that at one point the article states: Her new husband dies early in the war, and Tara falls into the marauding hands of the Yankees. I am not sure why it says Tara, but then again this could be because I have no background on the issue being discussed. For those who do have some knowledge in this, please post here if this is correct in being here or not. Thanks, (Random updater 03:15, 9 February 2006 (UTC)).

Yes TARA is correct. Tara is the farm/plantation Scarlett was raised on as a young girl.

TARA is the name of the home of the High Kings of Ireland.

[edit] Contradiction with Katharine Hepburn article

Hi, I just wanted to point out that the Katharine Hepburn article states that she refused the role of Scarlett O'Hara because it was unfit for her. This seems to be completely contradictory to the information in this article. TsunamiWave7 06:15, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Casting of Scarlett

I watched a movie where it was said, that Selznick knew from the beginning, that Vivien Leigh was the actress of his choice, but he kept this secret and casted other actresses due to PR reasons. The famous story of his brother introducing Vivien Leigh to him, while he had already started filming was scene Selznick made up and let his brother and Vivien Leigh act to increase the interest for the film even more. I'm not adding this to the article, because my English is not good enough.

I've heard the same story. Trekphiler 12:56, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Windy

Whatever happened to Back with the Breeze? Trekphiler 12:56, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

No mention that during the 10 year period the novel was being written the character's name was "Pansy O'Hara"?

[edit] Scarlett O'Hara was not beautiful

The article states, "Scarlett O'Hara was very beautiful, as indicated by Margaret Mitchell's opening line". However, the book's opening line states that "Scarlett O'Hara was not beautiful...". Would somebody who knows how to edit please fix this error? Thank you.24.131.15.229 (talk) 23:34, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Scarlett O'Hara in anime series

For those who don't know about this and hopefully won't be offended or taking it personal, the name Scarlett O'Hara is also used on an anime character who becomes Love Angel Salvia on the manga/anime series Ai Tenshi Densetsu Wedding Peach. Johnluisocasio (talk) 00:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Scarlett's 1st daughter

I don't have my book on me, but isn't her 1st daughter's name ELLEN Lorena. Like Scarlett's two sisters, they call her a conglomeration of the two names - Ella? JCgirlandlegal (talk) 06:16, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
