Talk:Scapegoat (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The article in question is legitimate as it describes the rock band Scapegoat, the artist of the albums Let Our Violins Be Heard and These Cards We're Dealt. Any discrepancies about the article should be discussed in this talk page.(Dusty (talk) 00:52, 10 January 2008 (UTC))

Nope, looks like a clear A7 to me. You might want to try adding more content to the article, as it currently doesn't state why the band is important. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 01:22, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I have added a source and some additional information. I sincerely want more to be known about Scapegoat (band) as it is mentioned in the articles Let Our Violins Be Heard and These Cards We're Dealt, and the band has much credibility as well as a highly anticipated upcoming release Zombie Dog. What can I do to help get information out about scapegoat (band). Any more advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping an up and coming Wikipedian! -Dusty (Dusty (talk) 02:14, 10 January 2008 (UTC))

I created the "Let our Violins be Heard" and "These Cards We're Dealt" pages. I also created a Scapegoat page at that time but it was deleted by an admin who had "never heard of them." Lets do everything we can to get this to be a legit, accepted, and damn good wiki! Airbornecasualty (talk) 06:50, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

I also added the bio. I dont have time to create the refrences tonight but will try tomorrow morning.Airbornecasualty (talk) 07:26, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

The article needs to include references that demonstrate significant secondary coverage. Examples would be interviews, reviews, features from magazines, etc. The more highly-regarded the sources the better, but if this could be added, there should be no problem keeping the article here. --Michig (talk) 09:17, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Michig. I've got sources from where I took the quotes and all the personal bio info! Ill add them as soon as i can.Airbornecasualty (talk) 16:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, Airbornecasualty for helping to get this article up and running! I am glad you share a similar interest in keeping this article a good wiki. I look forward to the quote references. Thanks again. {Dusty (talk) 00:52, 11 January 2008 (UTC)}

Airbornecasualty never added the quote references, so I took the liberty of deleting the quotes. Only one quote remains, and it has been cited with another article. There are now not two but three article citations, which are (in the noted "broad" sense) published works, for the band Scapegoat. Therefore, I recomend the general notability guideline alert be removed or a reason be given for a decision to keep it. Furthermore, I wish that whatever remaining information considered unverifiable be highlighted. Thank you. (Dusty (talk) 18:00, 16 January 2008 (UTC))
