[edit] Remove "mostly used by engineers" paragraph?
I vote to remove or at least drastically rework the paragraph under Principles of Operation that makes the claim that SAMs are "used mostly by engineers" and goes on to describe a particular example of Non-destructive testing. Firstly, that application should be discussed on the non-destructive testing page. Secondly, it doesn't do much to describe the principles of operation of a SAM. Third, there are several types of people who aren't engineers and use SAMs. Maybe this could be kept as a one-sentence example in a "list of SAM applications" section, but I'd be in favor of removal. [edit] I agree
That paragraph should be removed or drastically rewritten.
[edit] article
Hello there!,
I appreciate your initiative to introduce the subject of scanning acoustic microscopy and in principle it submits the right idea. But I thing the whole article needs to be rewritten especially the introductory part. I have been working for nearly two years on this field and would like to participate.
