Scars of the Crucifix is the seventh studio album by American death metal band Deicide, released in February 2004 and their first album under new label Earache Records. The track "Scars of the Crucifix" spawned their first ever music video, filmed in Nottingham. This was also the last album to feature the Hoffman brothers on guitar.

  • About 20 seconds after the end of 'The Pentecostal' (about 3:06), there is a hidden track played on piano.
  • The 3 second long indistinguishable phrase said at the start of 'When Heaven Burns', when played backwards, says either "Doing it all for my love of Satan." or "I smell smoke"
  • The song "Fuck Your God" has been used to torture military prisoners in Iraq.[citation needed]
