[edit] History

Coming together at the young age of 15, Connor, Lizzy, and Roxy formed Scarlet Rose. Just a few months after the band's inception, they released their first, self-titled demo E.P.. This showed the band's early influences, a more classic rock and metal sound drawing influence from the likes of the Scorpions, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin. Several years and 3 drummers later, the sound of the band changed over the years to a more contemporary glam rock sound, similar to The New York Dolls, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, The Wildhearts, and Scandinavian sleaze rock bands Hardcore Superstar and Backyard Babies.

After years of steady shows, building a following in the Los Angeles area, Scarlet Rose was discovered by producer Andy Z. of the Institute of Noise[1], who took the band under their wing, and resulted in the release of three songs featured on the band's myspace page: "Hollywood", the contemporary power ballad "Coming Home To Your Heart", and the single "Picture In A Magazine", for which the band shot a music video[2]. Recently, guitarist Roxy Vayn went out on the road in Europe playing guitar for fellow Los Angeles rockers Tattooed Millionaires, but has since left and returned to Scarlet Rose, with drummer Sean Quinn. As of August 2007, Scarlet Rose has disbanded.
