The Scaled Fruiteater (Ampelioides tschudii) is a species of bird in the Cotingidae family. It is the only member of the genus Ampelioides.
It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
