The SBOA School & Junior College, is one of the first school campuses for the SBIOA Education Trust, run by the State Bank of India Officers Association in Anna Nagar Western Extension, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The school has facilities to educate students from L.K.G to Standard 12.
The school also has Hostel facilities for the students.

The SBOA School and Junior College was founded in 1978 by Mr. E.A.G. Moses of the State Bank of India Officers' Association Educational Trust. The school was officially begun on 1979-06-06 at Anna Nagar West, Chennai. It was begun that year to coincide with the International Year of the Child.[1] It was started for the benefit of the Bank's officers' children. The first principal was Ms. Shirley Ray.
In 1983, the school started a new school providing education in the Matriculation board syllabus also: SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School which was later moved to a separate campus in 1994.[2]
Currently, the SBIOA runs the following schools in the south Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu:[3]

[edit] Infrastructure
SBOA has an acceptable infrastructure for a school.
There is one Main Building for students of classes 6th to 12th. There is another building for classes 1 to 6, which is the largest block of the school. One highlighting point is that the two buildings right next to each other are of two different designs. There is one Rotunda like structure for Kindergarten children which is fully air-conditioned with classrooms having Plasma TV's. The school has an Open air theatre and an indoor auditorium (Indira Gandhi Auditorium).and there is a new indoor auditorium built recently
The school also boasts a basketball court (open air) and a soccer ground (non-grass).

The school has had a steady growth in the past 21 years and now has a strength of 8620 students and 300 teachers. It is affliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and prepares the students for the All India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations (AISSE & AISSCE). The school is managed by the SBIOA Educational Trust. The school has held a record of securing 100% pass percentage in both the 10 th and 12 th exams for the past 21 years.

SBOA School gives equal emphasis on academics and personality development. The students have access to a wide range of activities in clubs such as:
- Bharat Scouts and Guides
- Road Safety Patrol
- National Cadet Corps
- Junior Red Cross
- School Band
Activities throughout the year are organized under the four houses named after the major kingdoms in Tamil history. Students are placed in one of the four houses, with the teachers to guide them. Hence, the staff members of each house play a major role in organising various inter house competitions.

Besides, a very good academic record SBOA school has also maintained a very good record in sports. There are several students of the school who have represented Chennai city in state level basketball tournaments.
The school has won national Sports awards in basketball, volleyball, cricket, kabadi and athletics.
