Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Your original contributions are welcome. --Masamage 20:59, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I found the entire text of the article you posted at [1]. --Masamage 21:02, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Good enough for me. I'll revert my redirecting, move the article to the location agreed on by the WikiProject, and add all the categories and templates it needs. Let's add some manga info and get it tidied up before adding it to the navigation template, though. --Masamage 21:06, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use images in userspace

Hi, according to WP:FU, we're not allowed to have copyrighted images in our userspace. You can replace it with

This user is a fan of Makoto Kino.

- I know it's not as cool, but it's more legal. If you want to modify the phrasing of the template to a smarter phrase, feel free.-Malkinann 02:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Aw, OK. I'll fix it. Just not as fun... :( Sbloemeke 11:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for doing that for me. :) -Malkinann 20:42, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
No, thank you for all your help both here and at the S article. Speaking of which, I got to get back to work. Sbloemeke 21:11, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:SailorMoonEpisode91.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SailorMoonEpisode91.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Please Stop

It doesn't have to show what happens in the episode, the title is fine. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zatchbellfan (talkcontribs) 18:41, 7 April 2007 (UTC).

  • Please stop; edit= Oh forget it, i'm sorry how i acted.

[edit] Images

You have not adhered to the guidelines I recommended to you before you started uploading images. They are much too large to be justifiably fair use, which makes them unacceptable per WP policy. They have no rationale written on the summary pages, have the wrong source listed on their summary pages, have nonstandard names, and are not categorized properly.

Several of those are valid reasons for the images to get deleted, and it will take me hours of work to fix them. I am annoyed. --Masamage 18:53, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationales

When we use fair use images at WP:SM, we need to not only include an appropriate fair use template, we must also provide a detailed fair use rationale. Please look at Image:Sailor_Moon_episode_001.jpg for a good example of what an uploaded episode screenshot should look like. Also, when you upload episode screenshots, can you please name them Image:Sailor Moon episode 0XX etc? That's the system we've been using, and on wikipedia, images can't be moved like pages can.-Malkinann 01:10, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Done.Sbloemeke 01:38, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. :) You may want to change them to be FU in the episode list, rather than in the non-existent episode articles. -Malkinann 02:00, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Of course. That's for tommorow though. I've been working on this since the morning, and I need sleep. Plus finishing off the last few pics.

I have reverted the images that I changed back to yours, for all the crap i'm causing you, you can replace my images for Sailor Moon R. And you can do the SuperS season. Zatchbellfan

[edit] Michiru

Since you're really up on the S series, could you take a look at this question for me? I'd appreciate it! --Masamage 02:34, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Please do not violate Wikipedia policy by introducing inappropriate pages, such as UGOPlayer, to Wikipedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Coren 19:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] UGOPlayer

Please, never take a {{speedy}} tag personally. It is neither a reflection on you nor the topic of the article, but on the current state of the article. The best thing you can do at this time is to place a {{hangon}} tag on the article (in addition to, not instead of the speedy tag), and explain why the article should not be deleted on the talk page. A passing admin will look at the article and your comments and remove both tags if that is warranted. Coren 19:32, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to VT!

Hey there, welcome to Virginia Tech (in the fall)! I hope you'll have as much fun there as I have (hell, I stuck around for an MS after I finished my bachelor's). It's a great place to be, and we're happy to have you. VTBassMatt 14:47, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm not really sure. Obviously it's been a few years since I went through that part of the process :) Contact the registrar, I would think, at [2] (540-231-6251) or perhaps the bursar (the money people) at [3] (540-231-6277). Hope they can help you! VTBassMatt 15:50, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sailor Moon S

Hi mate, I've had a go at pruning the SMS article, and I've come across a few turns of phrase that confuse me. Could you please have a look at them? I've tagged them with {{clarifyme}} so you'll be able to see them easily. Thanks. :) -Malkinann 21:26, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:UrFiend.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:UrFiend.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 16:58, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Clannad (visual novel)

I would like to know what magazine that citation about the autumn 2007 release was in, please.-- 01:49, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm surprised you don't know about Newtype, but the thing going on right now is Anime Festa hosted by TBS, the broadcaster of several KyoAni productions, such as Air, Kanon, and Haruhi Suzumiya. I hear that's where the realy announcement is going to be. Anyway, thanks for the information.-- 02:18, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SailorMoonEpisode111.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SailorMoonEpisode111.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:56, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:HarMichiru.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:HarMichiru.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:18, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:UrFiend.jpg

I have tagged Image:UrFiend.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again.
