Sayanogorsk

Sayanogorsk (Russian: Саяного́рск) is a town in the Republic of Khakassia, Russia. It is located at around 53°5′15″N, 91°23′59″E. Population: 50,255 (2002 Census).

Despite being a small town, Sayanogorsk has one of the largest aluminum smelting plants in the world and the largest hydro-electric dam in Russia, third largest in the world. The aluminum plant provides work to the majority of citizens of Sayanogorsk.
