Sayalgudi is a panchayat town in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census^[1], Sayalgudi had a population of 12,049. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Sayalgudi has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 59%. In Sayalgudi, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

It has well Road connection all over Tamil Nadu. The Transport is mainly by TNSRTC and other Private public carrier. Direct Bus Services to Chennai, Madurai, Kannya Kumanri, Thirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Thiruchendur, Trichy, Tirupur. Well road trasport available with in district level.

One cinema theatre available in this town known as Leo(Varatharajan). Beaches very fame in this area mainly NARIPAYUR, ANJU EAKHAR. They are very fame in this area for its pleasant and beautiful farms.
