Saw Loser

Saw Loser is a punk rock band, currently based out of Singapore. Established in 2005 by Sam Cooper, Masashi Kimura and Jimmy Tuppen, they later roped in Sam's younger brother, Matt Cooper on drums.

Although the band is currently based out of Singapore, none of the members are Singaporean. Brothers Sam and Matt Cooper being Australian, Masashi Kimura being Japanese, and Jimmy Tuppen being an American Citizen.

Since signing to Universal Music Singapore and Japan in 2006/2007, they released their debut album 'Long Distance Phone Calls' in Singapore on October 3rd 2006. The band later hit the studio to re-record tracks for the Japan edition, which was to be self-titled and re-released on July 25th 2007.

Saw Loser has shared the stage with acts such as Fall Out Boy, Beastie Boys and Jurassic 5 and played some of Asia's largest rock festivals from Soundrenaline in Indonesia to Summer Sonic in Japan. The band has built a strong following of fans as a result of their dedicated touring through Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.

On January 1st 2008 Saw Loser announced on the band's official MySpace page that they would be releasing a 7 track punk cover EP titled, 'The Punk'd Up EP'. However, in March it was announced the EP would now be a full length album, titled Saw Loser 'Punk The Hits'. The album is slated for release on June 25th 2008, through In-N-Out Records (Japan) and Universal Music (Singapore).
