Savigny is a municipality in Switzerland in the canton of Vaud, located in the district of Lavaux.

Savigny lies 793m above sea-level, 8 km east from Lausanne the capital of its canton. The thinly distributed community stretches across the Swiss landscape and ends on the Jorat to the south east over looking Lake Geneva.
The district encompasses 16.0 km² area that includes a part of the Molasse peaks in the Jorat. As of 1997 11% of the district comprised of inhabited area, 30% of forest and 59% of agricultural land.

As of the end of 2004 Savigny has 3280 inhabitants, placing it in the middle of the range for size in the cantons of Waadt. 86.5% of the population speak French, 7.5% German and 1.6% English.
