[edit] WikiProject Video games

  • We'd like to set up this kind of to do list for WikiProject Video games, how do we proceed? Cheers, JACOPLANE • 2008-04-2 11:48

[edit] WikiProject Roller Coasters

Hi, Seaserpent! I've added this to the bots tasks for tonight. I'll report back here and on your talk page tomorrow when it's done (it runs ~ 06:30 UTC, I think). -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 15:43, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Take a look at the above "full list" and "short list" pages that were created and let me know what you think! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 16:17, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
YThat's great! Is so much easier to get an automated list and just plonk it onto the to-do list, thanks very much! Seaserpent85 00:06, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Military history

  • WikiProject Military history. We'll take you up on your kind offer to create these lists; please let me know if there's any other information you need from us. I'd suggest updating ours no more often than weekly, incidentally, as there are a lot of articles to go through. Thanks! Kirill 03:40, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Y and left a note on the WT page. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 16:17, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject College football

Any update?↔NMajdantalk 18:19, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Doh! You should have kicked me ages ago! I set it up and assumed it was running - forgot to do that thing called testing! Anyway, it's up and running now. Take a look at: Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/To do list short. That page will be updated weekly on Thursdays. Also take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/To do full list. That page isn't updated - it's a transclusion of six or seven other subpages that *are* updated.
Let me know if you have any questions or if it doesn't update next week. Thanks - and sorry for the delay!!! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 03:09, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Could we get the short list updated more often, perhaps at least twice a week like Monday & Thursday? If it's too hard to setup such a thing and not too much a drain on resources, then daily would be fine, but probably overkill. Also, does the bot grab random articles to list, or does it grab the "older" tagged items for correction? Getting the older ones done and cleared may be of more benefit since they've been sitting around longer, but really it doesn't matter. Thanks for the cool bot. MECUtalk 20:28, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Y Left note with Mecu - sory for taking so long!

[edit] WikiProject Universities

Hey! I see your great work with WikiProject Military History as far as listing what needs Cleanup, attention, etc. Could you do something similar for WikiProject Universities? You would be an invaluable resource to us and would help us expand. I would also like an auto-stub-assessment for articles with stubs on them. Let me know, thanks so much!—Noetic Sage 19:30, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Noeticsage! What's the Uni project tag?
Can you clarify what you mean by the auto-stub? Do you want me to run through articles that have the Uni project banner and add a "class=stub" if there's a stub indicator on the page? Or do you want me to review a set of Uni categories and add the Uni project banner, indicating stub where appropriate? Let me know here or on my talk page? Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 20:30, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
The Uni project tag (by which I think you mean category) is Category:WikiProject Universities articles or Category:Universities articles by quality. I would like pretty much all the same pages for maintenance that WP Military History has. Also, as far as stub indicator: for now I think if you could just add "class=stub" to the project banner if there's a stub indicator on the page.We still have 600+ unassessed articles and I think stubs are the most prevalent. Let me know if you have questions, thanks so much!—Noetic Sage 21:30, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I meant "banner" - as in {{WikiProject Universities}}, which I've found :) I'll set up the bot to run the to do lists. How often do you want them run? What days? See above for examples.
The stubbing is going to have to be a one-off programming, so let me get back to you on that. If you don't hear from me in a day or two, poke me on my User talk:SatyrTN page. Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 21:42, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh, OK, excellent! Ideally it would run daily, but I'm not sure how much work that is for you. If you would rather have it run once a week, that's fine too. Thanks so much again!—Noetic Sage 22:10, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Any update on this yet? Just checking in :) —Noetic Sage 18:36, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
I did tell you about this, didn't I? Please tell me I didn't forget totally? I have the bot running daily, and it creates Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities/To do full list and Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities/To do list short. The latter is a random subset of the former. The bot doesn't actually update the full list, but rather a set of transcluded pages. I only tell you that because watchlisting the full list is futile, but watchlisting the short list works fine.
I'll see if I can auto-stub the others for you. Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 20:33, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so much!—Noetic Sage 20:59, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Feature request

Would it be possible to add a counter to the full list for each section? That way we can go through the edit history of the full list and see the count of each section and see what kind of progress is being made.↔NMajdantalk 22:21, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I've added this to tonight's run. If I don't reply, and/or it doesn't work, kick me :) -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 20:26, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I'd like a to do list, but I'm not sure the project is set up right

Hiya! WikiProject Museums would love to to-do list but I'm concerned about the category. I know the top category is Category:Museums but that hasn't been added to the project because of the bazillion subcategories. Is it possible to create a todo based on Category:Museum stubs which has been fed to the project via SQLBot? Thanks! TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 21:42, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
