[edit] Factual Inacuraccy
in this article, it is stated that the Nintendo gameboy appeared in 1991. This is not true. The game boy was made first available on April 21, 1989 in japan and sometime in august 1989 in America.
NP Chilla (talk) 18:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)== Asperger's syndrome ==
Can someone tell me where the information about Tajiri having Asperger's syndrome came from? If not, then there's no reason to treat it as anything more than hearsay. I'm not ruling out the possibility - I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case - but someone on the Internet associating Tajiri's behavior with Asperger's does not a professional diagnosis make. --The Trashman 15:57, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- Nowadays, anyone who is the least bit shy, least bit creative, or has any personality quirks of any sort (in other words, EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE PLANET) is described as an aspie. I think it should be removed from the article, along with every other mention of "soandso has aspergers!" on Wikipedia.--Stevekl 04:06, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- But we've already got three sources backing-up the fact he possesses the condition. (oh, by the way, Stevek, I have Asperger's myself, and I find it rather encouraging upon learning that famous people have the condition - it's encouraging and good for the self-esteem.) - NP Chilla 18:29, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, because the main point of Wikipedia is to boost people's self esteem. Idiot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.205.74.147 (talk • contribs)
- Christ, you're a fool. Did anyone say that was the purpose of Wikipedia? If you've not nothing to contribute to this discussion, go and crawl back under that rock from which you came.
- That pompous pratt aside, let's keep this article as it is - it's impartial enough for an encyclopedia. :) NP Chilla (talk) 18:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Gilbert's Pokemon please! do you think he can do a picture of Gilbert M S - oh i almost forgot Gilbert M S has ready got his owm episodes in london, japan nad america thank you!
Satoshi's life
I don't wanna talk about it
[edit] Wealth
It'd be good to flesh out the Lifestyle-ish section with a mention of how much he's earned; did he get millions off of Pokemon, or no? What has he done with it? etc. --Gwern (contribs) 20:38 5 December 2006 (GMT)
I think we need more sources than a single times article on this man, since so many sites rely on this one source. Aren't there any OTHER interviews?

- bumps* I agree with the previous unsigned comment. What has this guy been up to since RBY? Is the guy such a recluse that he hasn't made a single new interview in 10 years? --71.107.217.63 17:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please Clean Up This Article
This article is horrendously written. Here I came to read up on the guy, and it turns out the article contradicts itself. Let me quote some sections.
In the About section : "In the year 1991, when the Game Boy appeared, Tajiri imagined a game, based on the insects he used to collect as a child. The idea of catching and collecting monsters was new. He was inspired when he saw two kids playing the Game Boy next to each other. He came to Shigeru Miyamoto and together they developed the link cable technology"
Here's a bit from the Game Freak section : "In 1991, Satoshi discovered the Game Boy. When he first saw Link Cables, he imagined insects creeping along them, and the Pokémon idea was born."
That's just ONE inconsistency. The creation of Game Freak, his unquoted video game magazines, or his relationship to Nintendo is not only inconsistent, but they're all without references...
In other words, someone painted up a nice, pretty story, and this article seems like nothing more than happy rumors. Especially the Asperger's Syndrome thing. Linking to underestablished video gaming websites doesn't necessarily make a rumor true. If I could see an interview with the man, I and a whole lot of other people would be more willing to believe it. More than that, why does this appear under his work at Nintendo..... isn't that more of a "Personal" thing?
Beyond that, where in the hell are ANY sources for anything else mentioned?! Please clean this article up. I've seen better written (more consistent) articles on EncyclopediaDramatica. I mean, if you're going to make claims on something, be able to back up those claims with better sources than UnknownGameWebsite.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.48.40.133 (talk) 23:59, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
