Saturday_Voyeur_Glowdome.jpg (500 × 397 pixels, file size: 30 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Image by Scott Peterson, appearing on the site of Salt Lake Acting Company. This is a copyrighted image. I have e-mailed the author requesting that he visit Wikipedia and consider licensing the image so it can be used here. Fair use rationale: I think it's fair use for this image to appear on Wikipedia for at least 7 days while the copyright holder gets to decide whether it stays or goes.
Sent 6/23/07 to info at saltlakeactingcompany.org:
- To whom it may concern (probably Scott Peterson):
- I took an image from the Salt Lake Acting Company web site and provisionally used it in the Wikipedia article for the, um, big basketball court owned by Larry Miller whose name I hate and I vow not to utter. Wikipedia recognizes that this image is copyrighted and, absent permission, will remove it quickly.
- So I'm writing to request that Scott Peterson visit the Wikipedia article in question and consider granting permission to anyone to use the image freely. If acceptable, that can be done simply by clicking the image in the Wikipedia article, clicking “Edit this page”, and writing a short statement saying so. If not, Wikipedia editors are pretty good about removing unlicensed images, and it will disappear shortly.
- The link that contains the image is as follows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_Solutions_Arena

David Mong (mong at saltlakeactingcompany.org) with Salt Lake Acting Company replied on 6/29/07 with the following (pasted directly into the EnergySolutions Arena article but reverted since it belongs here, see the history):
- Salt Lake Acting Company gives Wikipedia permission to use the photo listed in this article, with two requests: Play's authors should be credited: SATURDAY'S VOYEUR 2007 by Allen Nevins and Nancy Borgenicht--- and photo by: Scott Peterson.
