[edit] About Chronology Of Pakistan History

Hello Safarosh2, and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. I have noticed you have created a chronology article for Pakistani history, but Wikipedia already has one (see Timeline of Pakistani history. We welcome your contributions to the latter. Thanks, and keep up the good work!  :) --Nehwyn 11:27, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello again Safarosh2! I see you have reverted my turning Chronology Of Pakistan History into a redirect to Timeline of Pakistani history. Considering the two articles have exactly the same subject, again I suggest contributing to the existing article rather than creating a duplicate. If you have any particular reason to do the opposite, please feel free to discuss it here on Talk:Timeline of Pakistani history. Thanks! :) --Nehwyn 12:58, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Moenjo daro ruins.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Moenjo daro ruins.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 15:02, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your persistent unexplained edits to Indus Valley Civilization

You have been persistently engaging in the same unexplained edits of Indus Valley Civilization that include

  • Changing India to Bharat (the Hindi name for India), which is ludicrous in an English language encyclopedia
  • Repetitively changing the correct reference: Charles Masson, Narrative of Various Journeys in Balochistan, Afghanistan and Punjab, 1826-1838 to Narrative of Various Journeys in Afghanistan and Pakistan. There was no Pakistan in 1838, not even remotely.
  • Changing the sentence "In 1857, the British authorities used Harappan bricks in the construction of the East Indian Railway line connecting Karachi and Lahore" to: "In 1857, the British authorities used Harappan bricks in the construction of the Lahore-Multan railway line."
  • Consistently changing South Asia to Pakistan
  • Consistently removing references to India or any Indian cities or towns.

You have done this (last count) on 17 separate occasions without any explanation and have been reverted each time. Such repetitive unexplained edits are considered vandalism and could lead to being blocked from editing Wikipedia. A lot of time is wasted by well-meaning editors in trying to untangle the confusion created.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Indus Valley Civilization, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you.
