Saralisse is a member of Wikipedia who, although she may have had the account for a long time, still percieves herself as a relatively new member for reasons such as: She was absent for a long period of time, as well as the fact that she is still getting the hang of Wikipedia's editing program.
[edit] Welcome To Me
Hi! I'm Saralisse. Well, I have a real name but Saralisse is the same name, just in Sindarin. No, I'm not fluent, although I wish I was.
"A perfect world is not one where everyone is perfect. A perfect world is one where everyone strives to help others become perfect." - The Most Profound Thing I've Ever Said.
I tend to be über-opinionated and argumentative, but I've managed to hold down the opinion monster while contributing. I also tend to be really shy. It's a strange mix, kind of like a lava lamp. Sometimes the clear stuff (shy side) is in top, and some times the bubbly lava stuff (opinionated side) breaks through.
Oh, yeah. I make really weird analogies a lot.
I was homeschooledup until 9th grade (the start of high school) and I enjoyed every minute of it. Beign homeschooled and also attendinga public school has given me experiences both unique and incredibly useful. I understand a lot of different points of view that I've noticed others can not seem to understand.
It's hard to tell you about me. I mean, what is important and what isn't? Obviously, I'm not very good at the Wiki edit language, but I'm learning. Those userbox things I have will tell you about me, I guess. However, it's a limited understanding. I guess the best thing to do would be to drop me a line over on my talk page, especially if you are unhappy with my contributions.
I'm crazy and proud of it. Ethnically-wise, I'm a complete European mutt. The dominating countries are the British Isles. I love to write, read, learn, sing, act, and just have fun. I want to become either a English teacher, an author, or a psychologist. Luckily, I have approximately a year to decide what I'm doing with this life.
I love LOST, Dancing With the Stars, Mythbusters, and the occasional Stargate episode. That's basically all I watch. It's all I have time for. PoA is my favorite HP book. OOtP is my least favorite. I miss being ableto watch Sailor Moon. Which brings me to the fact that I love Anime and Manga. Specifically, Furuba, Sailor Moon, Rayearth, and Loveless. Feel free to reccomend anything you think I'd like, my interests run pretty far, I just havea limited supply of Manga.
For me, Wikipedia is a way for me to learn and give others knowledge. I love that idea: Learning about things you love and granting others the ability to learn about things they love.
I haven't ever done anything notable. Unless you already know me in RL, then you probably don't know me. That made no sense, but hopefully you understood what I meant. I've starred in many, many home movies and school plays. I've never been on TV or anything cool like that, and not one of my stories has been published. I do right fanfiction and you can find my works at www.fanfiction.net/~saralisse
I'm Christian and proud of that too, However, I'm not an uptight christian. I'm not going to argue whether Mormons are christians or if Taoists are going to hell. That's not my place. Personally, it is all up to God and I have no say in whether someone is "Christian" or not, so why why bother?
My logic is very illogical. I can argue things I don't agree with and argue in ways that make you twist your mind. I love the feeling of understanding a difficult concept (like the tesseract) for the first time. The flash of sudden understanding is so exhilarating.
Basically, I ramble and I'm okay with that. I am normally a grammar freak but I can be pretty lax if I need to be. I am a procrastianting perfectionist and that gets me in trouble a lot. I am quick-to-anger and slow to forgive. I'm much nicer online that in RL.
A group of people, includign myself, are putting together a podcast about Mugglecast/Harry Potter. It's called Mugglepod- A Fancast. You should listen to it once we get the first episode out.
I took this class called MOUS, or Microsoft Office User Specialist, and by the end of the class I wondered why I had tken it. I barely ever use a PC, and learning Word, Excel, and PowerPoint functions was incredibly boring. (No offense meant to those who like PCs) Then I remembered that it was the only geeky class I was allowe to take. No more Web Design, Media Graphics and Video was full....yup.
I'm a geek. I love being a geek. I taught myself HTML and am working on learning CSS, XML, and Javascript. I also taught myself how to use Photoshop and am pretty good at it.
I classify myself by stereotypes a lot because it is the easiest way to describe me. I'm not your average anything, really, because sometimes I'm emo, sometimes I'm punk, sometimes I'm preppy, and soemtiems a total nerd. If you really did read all this, te amo mucho.
