From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sarah Jane Coleman, aka Inkymole, is a living British artist and illustrator.
She is mainly known in a commercial context for her work in advertising, print, design, packaging and publishing, [1] and for her personal work based around the words of American poet and hip-hop artist Sage Francis. Her work can be seen on the high street, on television, and in bookshops up and down the UK and in the US. She also works with Bernard Dolan on the Knowmore.org project.
Her early career began at The Royal Shakespeare Company [2] making props for the 1993-4 RSC season of productions. She began illustrating professionally before graduation,[3] and left university with a 1st class honours degree in Illustration with an award for experimental typography. She remains inspired by the penmanship of a more elegant era and employs a muscular, if pedantic, grasp of the English language.
Sarah is also a co-founder of illustration collective 741.
She is represented by agents Bernstein and Andriulli of New York.
