I prefer Sarkis Hovsepyan (the transcription) to Sargis [Hovsep'yan] (the transliteration). Transliterations (like Serž Sargsyan) are nice for people who know Armenian but only a few people do. For an average reader, Sarkis Hovsepyan (Hovsepian) and Serzh Sarkisyan (Sarkissian) are preferrable. Kuddeldaddeldu (talk) 11:51, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
