[edit] is Sardasht really the first town in the world to be gassed with poison gas?

Is it true that "Sardasht is the first town in the world to be gassed"? Chemical weapons were recommended by Churchill in 1919 and then used later on against the Kurds by the British air force, but maybe they were only used in the countryside and not on towns before Sardasht - i guess that's what the contributor was suggesting. In any case, i put a citation needed tag. Someone should check this... Boud 21:52, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Anon, what was the 100 figure for exactly and is there a source for it. Feel free to re-add it in the correct section with the correct context with a source. I took it out for now as it was misplaced.Hajji Piruz 15:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
