This article clears up why James Mcpherson describes Jefferson Davis as Taylor's "former son-in-law" in Battle Cry Freedom--thanks:). --CMacD Why did her father not approve of the marriage between her and Jefferson Davis--216.7.248.254 20:35, 27 April 2006 (UTC) she was to young to marry... davis was transfered....the 16 year old sarah ran away to davis...and waited until she was old enouge to marry davis.. her parents did not attend her wedding ..
