[edit] what?

someone needs to reword this sentence...."Several rounds of 9mm ammunition spilled on the floor during the robbery bore manufacturing marks that matched that of ammunition loaded in a 9mm Browning High-Power semi-automatic pistol found by police in Soliah’s bedroom dresser drawer at the SLA safehouse on Precita Avenue in San Francisco"

[edit] In Popular Culture

In a Episode of Smallville, Chloie gains the ability to when she asks a question to someone they answer it, and she asks her teacher what she is hiding from and the teacher than says she was under a different name and was a member of a radical group and that she's been hiding from the truth ever since.

[edit] Terrorist?

I pointed out that this person is a terrorist and a murderer. Let's not let political correctness stand in the way of the truth. (Unsigned comment was added 03:36, 2 January 2007 by user: 74.73.177.70)

The word terrorist may apply but if you add it, it will likely be reverted. There are some wikipedia editors who would prefer that we reserve label for more extreme acts. Some of her SLA comrades have that category attached to their articles but I refrained from putting it here for now until a discussion can be had over this. I did add the category American bank robbers because she did plead guilty to that. Does anyone else feel that the Terrorist category should be added here? LiPollis 13:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

A terrorist is just a revolutionary the writer doesn't like. Look at Luis Posada Carriles, whom the Bush administration clearly doesn't think is a terrorist, because they do like him. I don't see that the category has any use in Wikipedia at all. Put in the facts, and let the reader decide on the labels. --Rbraunwa 17:07, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

A guerrilla is an iregular soldier who literally fights a little war against other soldiers. A terrorist attempts to influence politics by acts of violence against civilians. Though violence against civilian police may just possibly be a grey area, murder of school officials clearly make the SLA terrorists, thus she is a terrorist. Kidnapping innocent bystanders is similarly a criminal act and thus terrorist act as it can serve no military purpose.

I agree entirely. And, since killing civilians is an act of terrorism, I fully expect all of the Wiki articles for every branch of the United States Armed Services to focus upon the fact that these are terrorist organisations. Furthermore, since the LAPD kills unarmed civilians on a regular basis, I expect their page to also reflect their status as a terrorist organisation. --64.142.82.28 (talk) 18:49, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Kicking the pregant lady at the bank robbery

Is this true or is it just sensationalism? Can anyone source this?LiPollis 22:58, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Untrue. No documentation that I have perused supports this act as ever had been committed.Sea Wolf (talk) 23:34, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Citations Badly Needed

In line citations for most of this article are badly needed. Can someone help provide links to reputable sources for the information? Much of the statements are lacking sources. That would be most helpful. Thanks! A little mollusk (talk) 19:46, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

I've found that the statements within the article are actually found in the various references currently given, but without direct attribution each time; therefore, someone simply has to go through and disperse the already-included references around in more areas of the article. I've done this for one section from the Minnesota Public Radio source.--Gloriamarie (talk) 23:56, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! I appreciate your work.

I had added citations for the information I added, but it seems several of those plus other credible sources were deleted at some juncture in the editing process. There were, for example, a couple of AP article links deleted. Why would this have been necessary? A little mollusk (talk) 15:07, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] another Sarah_Olson.

< http://dailykos.com/story/2007/1/30/91945/0802 >:

"... Sarah Olson, a journalist who faced jailtime for an article she wrote on Truthout."

There are many possible spellings; the google results have contributed to my confusion.

The photograph @ Symbionese_Liberation_Army is confusing as well; is one face covered w/ an object?

[edit] Myrna Opsahl link

This link, in the External Links section at the bottom of the page, appears to be broken: http://www.myrnaopsahl.com/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.234.222.96 (talk) 05:50, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

I fixed this by redirecting to Archive.org's version. The site is very interesting and should be included.--Gloriamarie (talk) 23:53, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
