Sarkaghat is a town and a nagar panchayat in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

As of 2001 India census[1], Sarkaghat had a population of 3706. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Sarkaghat has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 74%. In Sarkaghat, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is located in almost equi-distance to the two main towns Mandi & Hamirpur. Sarkaghat is a slow developing town, people of which are maigrating to developed neighbour cities slowly.Goodness of sarkaghat is that it is uncrowded but there's are much more bad like costly market, narrow roads, no recreational place.
