Sariwŏn is the capital of North Hwanghae Province, North Korea. The city's population is reported to be 310,100 people and its coordinates are at 38.50778 N, 125.75444 E.

Sariwon has a pediatric regional hospital that serves 16 districts and 500,000 children and teens under age 17.

Sariwon also has a Potassic/Potash Fertilizer Complex, tractor factory, Agricultural Higher Institute, Mill, university of geology,university of medicine, teachers college,university of education no. 1 and, university of education no 2.
