The Sarit Centre is located just off Waiyaki Way, it is Kenya’s first, biggest and busiest shopping mall. Opened in 1983, it is located in the affluent suburb of Westlands of Nairobi. Its “City Within A City” concept of providing everything under one roof has since irrevocably changed retailing patterns and spurred shopping mall development throughout East Africa. The centre has a 300 seat cinema, a 1,500 sq.ft. food court and is expecting a new international exhibition centre upon expansion. Effectively, The Sarit Centre is an inter-active shopping mall offering one-stop access to a complete range of supermarkets, stores, service outlets, entertainment, and professional and medical facilities unrivalled elsewhere in Kenya.
[edit] Shops at the Centre
The Sarit Centre has a large variety of stores, such as Uchumi supermarket, Woolworths and The One Way. The Mall is expecting an expansion that will see even more stores open shop.
