Sarim Momin

Sarim Momin, or Saarim Momin (born 10 December 1978 at Bombay, India), is the lyricist for many popular Bollywood movies including Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar, Sholay (Aag), Darling, EMI, Go, Shabri & D, Bhagam Bhaag, The Film to name a few, working with music directors like Pritam, Prasanna Shekhar, Siddharth-Suhas and Amar Mohile. .

Started as an Urdu Poet, he penned the INDIA song for the cricket world cup 2004 sung by Hamza Faruqui and composed by Wasim Desai. He has also written many advertisements for India, UK, Europe, Pakistan and UAE.

He has worked with Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghoshyal, Shweta Pandit, Hamza Faruqui, Zubin, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Babul Supriyo, Sonu Kakkad, Bombay Viking, Alisha Chinoy, Krishna, Priyadarshan, Jojo, Leslie Lewis, Ravindra Upadhyay & Vinod Rathor.

He is currently working with Lucky Ali on his new album.
His new films include Ram Gopal Varma ki AAG (Sholay), Darling, Go & Shabri.
Other upcoming films are EMI and The Green Chick (an animated film)

'ALLAH-KE-BANDAY' is another project where Sarim Momin is a lyricist, co-dialogue writer and Associate Director. The film stars Sharman Joshi, Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni, etc.

Sarim Momin has provided lyrics for Music Albums of Rishabh Tandon (Phir se wahi, Duuriyan), Panna Gill, etc
