Saratoga Technologies Inc., a Tennessee registered corporation, established its headquarters in Johnson City, TN in 2001. The company originated as a subsidiary of Saratoga Software, which is headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded as a software development house for packaged business software, Saratoga now specializes in information and communications technology solutions for a wide range of markets.

The company has acquired almost a dozen smaller technology businesses since inception in 2001 including but not limited to ComputerWorks in 2001, Com-Tek in 2002, All-Tek and Central Computing in 2003, Automation Solutions in 2004, Star Technologies, Altech and High Speed Communications in 2005. In September 2005 Saratoga expanded with the opening of an office in Knoxville, TN. The company's staff has grown from 2 employees to over 50 in four years.
