Sarasgad Fort is situated near Pali which is situated in the Sudhagad taluka in Raigad district. Among the Ashtavinayakas, Ballaleshvara at Pali is the only Ganesha who is famous by the name of his devotee and who is dressed up as a Brahmin. This place is nestled between the fort Sarasgad and River Amba.
There are two routes which lead to the top of this fort from Pali. Avoid the rock steps route during monsoon.
Pali lies along the Lonavala-Khopoli road and is 110 kilometres from Pune. From Mumbai, one has to travel along the Panvel - Khopoli route for a distance of 124 kilometres.
There is a hot water spring at a Unhere village about 4 kilometers from Pali.
